Chinese smartphone company Vivo has launched a make in India phone Y51L in budget range. This mobile is priced 11980/- in India. You can buy it from online stores or offline retailers. This phone is completely assembled in Vivo's manufacturing plant in Greater Noida. Last year Vivo announced the production of phones under Make in India.

Processor & RAM:

Phone is powered by 64 bit snapdragon 410 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz. This processor is clubbed with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB internal space. It also has micro SD card slot upto 128 GB. Processor of the phone is not so powerful as other brands are giving more powerful processor. 

Operating System:

It runs on Android 5.0.2 lollipop based FunTouch OS 2.5 operating system. Some exiting features of camera are Night mode, HDR, Panorama, and Face Beauty modes. This interface in quite good and user friendly. There is news about its further upgradation to Android 5.1.1 or 6.0 Marshmallow.

Camera and Display:

It has 8 megapixel of rear camera with flash and 5 megapixel camera for selfie. It sports 5 inch display with 540 pixel resolution. Display is quite disappointing as most of the phone are now coming with full HD display. Phone is about 7.55 mm thick and 157 grams in weight. Look wise phone is good.

Battery and Others:

Vivo Y51L is backed with 2350 mAh non-removable battery. It may give you a backup of 1 day for normal uses. It supports 4G LTE band in India. It also comes with Wi-Fi, EDGE/GPRS, 3G, Bluetooth, USB 2.0, USB OTG, GPS etc.

Verdicts:

After taking a look at its specifications i feel that it does not meet the customer expectations. specifications of the phone are not so attractive. Hence price of the phone is very high. All the phone in this range has at least HD(720p) or Full HD(1080p) display. All the phone in the same range also has at least 13 MP of rear camera. Battery and display size is also not satisfactory.
