Xiaomi has finally launched the most waited phone Mi 5 in India. Out of 3 variants of Mi 5 only one variant is launched. Users can get 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage variant. This is lowest variant of Mi 5. This flagship device is priced INR 24999/- and flash is exclusively on mi.com from 6th April. 

Phone is powered by 1.8 GHz quade-core (dual core 1.8 GHz Kryo/ 1.6 GHz dual core Kryo) snapdragon 820 processor along with Adreno 530 GPU. Basically phone has fastest processor available in market for Android devices. Phone is running Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. Phone comes with 16 MP f/2.0 Sony IMX298 rear facing camera with dual tone LED flash, PDAF and 4-axis OIS. It also has 4 ultra-pixels front facing camera. 

It features 5.15 inch IPS full HD display with curved edges at the back panel. Dimensions of the phone are 144.5x69.2x7.25mm and weighs 129 grams. Phone has 3000 mAh battery with QUALCOMM quick charge 3.0 feature. Phone also comes with Connectivity options include VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, 4G, Bluetooth 4.2, Glonass, and NFC.

Disappointments:

Indian users were expecting all three variants of the phone, Xiaomi has launched the lowest variant in India. Some users were hoping for 4 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM variants has to settle with the 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal. Price of the phone is unexpectedly very high. Users were expecting this phone to be priced in the range of 20000/- to 22000/-. In china phone is priced CNY 1999/- i.e. INR 21000 approx. 

Similarly Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 3 in the starting of March. Initially phone had 2 variants, one with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal and another with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal. After 2 flash sales they discontinued the pro variant i.e. 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage variant is not available. Now users has to settle with lowest variant of Note 3. 

Performance of these low variants is also impressive, but users who need to explore more with bigger RAM and storage are getting upset. We can expect these high end devices to be back in stock in near future. Users in china are not buying there low variants so Xiaomi is selling these products in India.
