Redmi 3 was launched in january 2016 without fingerprint scanner. But now phone is featuring fingerprint scanner. Redmi 3 is launched in China only and there is no information regarding its launch outside China. As a hightlight it has 4100 mAh battery along with fingerprint scanner. Phone is now having 2 variants. Phone without fingerprint scanner is priced CNY 699 (approx 7000 INR) and with fingerprint scanner priced CNY 799 (approx 8200 INR). Last month Xiaomi has launched RedMi note 3 in India. this phone also comes with powerful features. Xiaomi has also launched Mi 5 on 24th February in MWC.
Processor, Memory & OS:
In budget range it give unexpected Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor. Its four cores are clocked at 1.5 GHz while other four cores are clocked at 1.2 GHz. This processor unit is clubbed with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal. You can also expand its storage upto 128 GB via micro SD card. It has a hybrid SIM slot i.e. a slot which accepts SIM as well as micro SD card. Hence if you want expand your storage then you should remove your second SIM.
Smartphone with run on Android along with MIUI 7. Android version is still not disclosed by company. We will inform you as soon as Xiaomi unveils the Android version.
Camera Display:
RedMi 3 features 13 MP camera (f/2.0 aperture) with PDAF (Phase detection auto focus) and LED flash. PDAF is basically available on high end smartphone which give very fast auto focusing. It has 5 MP front facing camera for selfie lovers. In the budget range camera is really great. It has 5 Inch HD display with 720p resolution. This phone is quite handy and looks pretty in hand. It has full metal body.
Battery & Others:
It has a big 4100 mAh non-removable battery. For a 5 inch display phone it will give about 4 days battery backup with normal uses. You can play game 2 times longer as comparing to other phones in the range. For connectivity it comes with EDGE, HSDPA, 4G LTE, wi-fi, GLONASS, GPS etc. For different users it has 3 premium colors i.e. Gold, Silver and Grey.
Verdicts:
Xiaomi is well known for giving quality products in budget range. Redmi 3 is the smartphone with 4100 mAh battery i.e. highlight of this phone. It has powerful snapdragon 616 octa-core processor. This processor is good enough in price range. Phone also has 13 MP camera with PDAF autofocus. MIUI 6 was somewhat unstable but MIUI 7 has so many advantages over MIUI 6. Overall In low budget range phone has a lot of powerful features.
